Ok, I think I’m about 265 and I’m off from work most of this coming week, which will make sticking to my plan difficult. Difficult, but not impossible. I am determined to go to the gym at least 4 out of 5 days (they will be closed on New Years Day). I am also determined to stop the damage before it gets too out of control.
It is the Sunday after Christmas. My husband and my two boys (my son and his best friend) have enjoyed a big Sunday style breakfast and are now continuing their interrupted sleep. With the TV going, of course! LOL! Hmmm. Just heard the channel on the TV change from The Librarians to football. My husband must be awake.
We had a great Christmas. My son gave me a wrist-worn Fitbit monitor. I’ve been wanting to try one, and now we will see if I can get used to wearing something on my wrist. Surprisingly, I had no problem getting it set up and synced to my computer! I’m curious to see how it shows my steps during the day. Another tool in the fight against the pounds!
Tomorrow is my mother’s birthday. She would be 82. I miss her so much, but I refuse to mope on these anniversaries. That’s the last thing she would want. I’ll probably spend a lot of time watching my birds and squirrels at the feeders in our back yard. That is very peaceful to me. I also want to work on my musical project – a cover of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah” with lyrics I wrote to honor mom. My son is going to help me record it with keyboard accompaniment, if my lack of singing ability does not break all the equipment! LOL!
Another police officer has been killed – this time in Flagstaff, AZ. My prayers go out to his family, friends, and the entire Flagstaff population. Remember – Blue Lives Matter!
Until next week….
