I can’t believe I’ve been writing this blog for 100 weeks! I just wish I’d made more progress toward losing weight.
I’m still getting to the gym. In fact I got there all five workdays last week, and I got there early so I was able to get longer workouts. Food did not go as well. There was an office luncheon and baskets at Easter and not as much in the way of veggies as I would have liked. So, that is what I must concentrate on going forward, without losing sight of working out of course.
On a more positive note, this weekend must be a reward for getting through this past winter. Both days have given us bright blue sky, breeze, warmer temperatures, sunshine. I’m sure many people are out and about doing things they could not do in snow. I have been watching the birds and squirrels at the feeders. My husband is taking advantage of the weather to do some yard work. There is green on the trees and there are flowers in bloom. It’s as though the world has come alive again, but I guess that’s what Spring is all about.
Had a great time at the “Authors and Audiences” event at the Kent County library yesterday. Met a lot of interesting independent authors and caught up with my friend, Liz DeJesus. She is the author of, among other things, the Frost series (First Frost and Glass Frost, so far) a modernization of well known fairy tales written for young adults. I highly recommend them. If you are a comic book fan, she has a new one coming out soon – Zombie Everafter. Search on the internet for more information.
Well, time to stop and do something outside. It’ll keep me from hanging around where the food is! LOL! Things WILL improve!
