End of Week 97 – Heads and Necks….

By the time I weighed after my last post I had lost a pound.  Well, I’m sure that will not happen this week.  In fact, I’ll be lucky if I hold my own.  The head cold I mentioned became one for the ages.  I missed two days of work and am still trying to get rid of the congestion.  While attempting to find a position in which I could sleep; I pulled a muscle in my neck that still has not recovered.  Consequently, I did not get to the gym at all this past week.  However, I am planning on starting over Monday whether my neck hurts or not.

On April 3rd my family remembered my Aunt Eleanor on what would have been her 101st birthday.  We all noted that it was appropriate that her favorite baseball team, the St. Louis Cardinals, won that day.  We also recognized my cousin Maddie’s birthday.  She is as beautiful as her mother, my cousin Alicia, and is just starting her independent journey through life.  I really need to get a list of birthdays of my nieces, nephews, and second cousins.  There are so many!

The snow is gone.  The sun is out.  It is not what I would call warm, but it’s getting there.  At least it’s not so cold that I dread going outside.  It’s warm enough to encourage the appearance of forsythia, daffodils, onion grass and weeping willow leaves.  On Tuesday, when I was home sick, a deer came by for a visit.  I took a lot of pictures of it, but they were all through window screens because I didn’t want to spook her.  She stayed quite a while in the back yard.  I was surprised she was not with any other deer.  She is making her own way.  So am I.  This coming week will be a new start!  We can do it!

Until next week….
