Ok, I weighed, and I didn’t gain. I didn’t lose, but I didn’t gain, and considering we went through Thanksgiving I think that’s alright. Now, I need to make some more progress. It appears life events may be lining up to be of assistance in that endeavor.
What I eat is up to me. Whether I stick to my eating plan or not, I have no one to credit or blame but myself. Exercise, on the other hand, is more likely to be affected by what happens around and to me. My left hip and leg still bother me, so I recently saw a neurologist. He is sending me to physical therapy. Having done this before, I am looking forward to it because it will be a second workout three days a week for the next four weeks! How great is that?! Also, I’ll come away from it with a list of exercises to be done at home.
And speaking of exercising at home, I think the impossible may happen. Until recently, each time I mentioned getting some type of exercise machine for the house, my husband would say we don’t have the room. Where would we put it? Well, he has now recovered from his quadruple bypass and he is trying to figure out how to fit a treadmill in the house. Why couldn’t we figure this out before? I don’t know, but that’s ok. I don’t care why it happens, as long as it does. I think we may turn the dining room into my home office so we can put the treadmill where I am now sitting to write this. That would work since we don’t use the dining room for anything in particular. Of course, it will not take the place of my gym workouts. I will still go there on work mornings and get on the elliptical, and I will still use the hand weights in my office. For me, the treadmill will be a way to work out a second time on most days, a first time on weekends, and a way to not miss workouts due to weather. Hooray!
Better close and get back to Christmas preparations. I will not let Christmas derail me this year! WE CAN DO IT!
Until next week…..
